Post 4: Changes to my study programme...
Hi guys! In this occasion, I will to talk you about a subject that seems very relevant to me, since it's related to the degree I´m currently studying. I study early childhood education, at the University of Chile. Although I have only been studying for two years (there're five years in total and six years with a master's degree), so far I can say that I love the degree and the university as such. However, that does not mean that I would not make some changes to it. As for the subjects, it seems to me that what they have taught us so far is very good and very useful, although I have come across somewhat complicated teachers. During the past year there were teachers who gave too many weekly assignments and there has hardly enough time to do them, an addition to being quite rude during classes, I have also noticed that some classes become somewhat repetitive and, therefore, there´s little motivation when it comes to doing things. Except for that, I consider that the subjects have been developing quite well. What I do think is very important to highlight is that we have not yet recovered the practice experiences that we weren´t able to have last year, due to the pandemic. For example, I think that the number of hours of practice is very small, we haven´t yet had the opportunity to visit the psychomotricity room that´s in the university (wich plays a very important role in our training), and we haven´t yet we have developed the first aid and resuscitation courses that we had to take during the first year. I think that these are very important things and that they should be done as soon as possible. As for the university facilities, I have nothing to say, since it was remodeled a short time ago, and we have enough space, in addition to the fact that the infrastructure in general looks very nice.
This was all for this occasion. Until next time... Sofi💓
